Game---Family customs past and present

Students give the sample of photos compare them to celebrations or ritual events familiar to them.

Give students couples minutes to answer the following questions: 5W+H questions

 

--What are your family celebrations?
--What season do you celebrate in?
--Why do you celebrate?
--Where do you get together?
--Do you grandparents and other relative celebrate the same occasions?
--How about the people in other countries? Do they celebrate the holiday?

 

Ask students to write down on board noting similarities and differences in rituals. Compare the photos to
celebrations or ritual of events.
